The International Society also ran a trip to Loch Ness which I joined in November. Our first stop of the day was at Urquhart Castle. The ruins date between the 13th and 16th centuries and represent multiple rebuildings and expansions. The castle was involved in the Wars of Scottish independence in the 14th century. It is currently the most visited castle in Scotland.
